Melnik Alexander Ivanovich

Born 17.1.1949 , p. Small Ofirna Kiev region. He graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (1974). A teacher by profession - T. Yablonsky . Works in painting, drawing, monumental art. Major works: stained glass, diptych "Time Yaroslav the Wise " and "Time Nestor the Chronicler " (1977 ); triptych " Russia" (1982); triptych "We - the idolaters " (1988 ); " Annunciation of Ukraine " (1992 ); "Hope" (2000). Member of the Union of Artists (1987). Author and curator of the exhibition peacekeeping "Hope" (2001).
Author and curator of the exhibition - Art Biennale historical genre " Ukraine from Tripoli to the present in the images of contemporary artists" (2004). Winner of the First Prize , the first national exhibition of monumental art (1992). The Second Prize Competition national exhibition of painting and of Orthodox iconography (1995). Winner of Art Competition of the UN Office in Ukraine dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the United Nations ( 1996). Vinshovanyy Diploma for contribution to the Kyiv-Mohyla Brotherhood revival University of Kyiv- Mohyla Academy (1992). Winner KONSKHU " ARTIST " name Michael Boychuk (2006).
He was awarded the Order "For Merits" of III degree (2008).
He was awarded the Silver Medal of the National Academy of Arts ( 2012).
